Since when did Dashers become beggars?

I saw someone else post about their Dasher asking for a bigger tip yesterday so I thought I’d post this.

As someone who dashed for a couple years in college, I know DoorDash base pay most days isn’t great, but that plus a tip should suffice. I never asked for a bigger tip even when I had a hefty grocery delivery, had to wait 30+ minutes, or had to deliver on the 3rd floor. I totally understand that some people dash full-time to support themselves but asking for more money like this is weird.

FYI: This was a very small Chinese food order, the dasher waited less than 15 minutes, and is delivering to me on the 2nd floor.
